League Rules:
Note: The LMs are not lawyers and, thus, imperfections and loopholes in the language may exist. Therefore, if the technical language of a rule doesn't fit with the intent of the rule, the LMs reserve the right to amend and enforce said rule retroactively conforming to the intent.
Draft Order:
- Rookie Draft, and Regular Draft order will be determined by the Consolation Bracket.
Round 1:
11th and 12th seed receive week 1 BYEs. 10th and 9th seed face off. and 8th and 7th place face off. Winners advance. Losers face off in 2 SEPARATE match-ups, accumulative winner will draft 5th overall. Loser drafts 6th, and pays $200 towards ring.
Round 2:
12th place will face the LOWEST seed to advance, 11th place will face the HIGHER seed.
Round 3;
This is the Consolation Bracket Championship, winners face-off and play for #1 overall picks and $100.
- Champion of Playoffs drafts 12th overall, Runner-up drafts 11th overall. 3rd place drafts 9th overall, 4th place drafts 10th overall. 5th place drafts 7th overall, 6th place drafts 8th overall.
Pick Trades:
You can use Draft Picks as Trade Capitol, however, there will be a few restrictions:
- Can only trade TWO (2) picks for the Draft that is 2 years away. (IE, in 2016 can trade only 2 picks in 2018)
- Can not trade picks more than 2 Drafts away. (IE, in 2016 trade for 2019)
- There is no restriction on the amount of traded Rookie Draft picks, however, you can not trade more than two drafts away.
Playoffs:
- Top 6 teams will make the playoffs.
- Top 2 seeds will earn BYEs in Round 1.
- Match-ups DO NOT RE-SEED.
- There will be a 10 transaction limit for each weekly match-up.
- All transactions are free for the duration of the playoffs. Revert back to $1 the day after Playoffs end and Off-Season begins.
- ALL TIE-BREAKERS WILL BE DECIDED BY THIS CRITERIA:
2. Higher Seed.
Keepers:
For 2019 we are keeping 10 players. In 2020 we will keep 12 players. You must keep 12. **Can not trade 11th or 12th round picks for 2020 draft.**
Franchise Fee:
Each team will be REQUIRED to pay a $100 FRANCHISE FEE. This is for the right to own a team in this league. This fee will be returned to you unless the Commissioners' deem it necessary you be charged. In which case this fee will be added to the Transaction Pot. Reasons to be charged are, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Failure to set lineup on a consistent basis.
- blatantly tanking a matchup.
- Not showing up to MANDATORY meetings
- Failure to meet DUE DATES FOR FEES
Due Dates For Fees:
- All Off-Season activity, League Fee, and Franchise Fee ---> Opening Day for MLB
- All first half transactions/fees ---> MLB All-Star game
- Second half transactions/fees ---> The FIRST FRIDAY of Playoffs
MANDATORY MEETING:
The end of season Meeting/Payout will be held roughly the first Sunday after the Championship matchup. This date will be planned roughly 7 months in advanced. Mark your calendar and BE THERE. Not only can you lose your Franchise Fee, but you also will have NO VOTE in any proposed league changes.
