The second day of virtual baseball is in the books and we have a couple teams undefeated and a couple still looking for their first win. It was another day of stellar pitching performances, extra innings, and another walk off homer. We also had a player continue his hot start to the season but we will get to him later. Let's dig in! Jon's Indians 3 Phil's Red Sox 2 F/10As expected this was a pitchers duel between Walker Buehler and Justin Verlander. Both were shaky to start the game with Buehler giving up a solo shot to Phil's boy Bryce Harper and Verlander giving up a 2 run shot to Michael Brantley but both settled down from there. Hunter Dozier had a RBI double in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game and send it to extras but it was a Justin Turner sac fly with the bases loaded in the top of the 10th that won it for the Indians. Prior's Tigers 8 Chris's Twins 5When Chris traded Conforto last season we all knew it hurt him to do it. Today Conforto faced his owner and took it out on the Twins with 2 homers and 5 RBI helping the Tigers over the Twins. The Tigers got 5 runs ins the 3rd inning to chase Dinelson Lamet from the game. The Twins mounted a comeback and in the bottom of the 9th Juan Soto came up with two on and two out with the tying run at the plate. Kirby Yates got Soto to ground out to earn the save and the victory for the Tigers. Degaglia's Yankees 9 Josh's White Sox 4Both teams came into this matchup looking for their first victory. J.D. Martinez started the Yankee offense with a 2 run homer in the first inning and the combination of Jose Altuve and George Springer combined to go 6 for 11 and 4 runs as the top of the order to pace the offense. Josh got solo shots from Khris Davis, Yoan Moncada, and Eddie Rosario but were unable to cash in when runners were on base. Astros 4 Blue Jays 2 F/13The matchup between Tommy and Daren takes home the game of the day. Daren's offense hasn't gotten off to a great start but had just enough to get the victory here. Nolan Arenado hit a 2 run homer in the first inning and that was all the offense till the 9th inning. Max Scherzer went 8 scoreless and started the 9th inning with a walk. Roberto Osuna came on and walked another batter and then gave up a 2 run single to Willie Calhoun to tie the game. Daren's Astros had men on first and second with 1 out in both the 11th and 12th innings but Tommy's pen was able to get out of the jams. Then in the bottom of the 13th inning, Jonathan Villar hit a 2 run homer to walk it off and send home crowd out happy. Bharath's Angels 8 Eddy's Royals 1We got the rematch of last years fantasy finals and the result was similar with the Angels coming out on top. Jacob deGrom continued to follow up his back to back Cy Young seasons with a complete game. Joc Pederson had the game of the night going 3 for 5 with 2 homers and 6 RBI. Ketel Marte left the game after a hit by pitch and was replaced by Corey Dickerson who homered off of deGrom. Billy's Orioles 3 Justin's Mariners 2Anthony Rizzo is on fire! Coming off his grand slam on opening day, Rizzo went out today and went 4 for 4 with 2 homers one of which came in the bottom of the 6th inning to give Billy's Orioles the lead for good. Jake Odorizzi pitched 6 innings of solid ball with the only blemish being a 2 run homer to Andrew McCuthcen. Billy got scoreless innings with the no base runners from Michael Lorenzen, Tommy Kahnle and Yusmero Petit to close out the game. Standings
