Happy Easter Everyone! Hope everyone is making the best of it all things considered. Day 7 is in the books. We had a couple of win streaks that continued, bullpens that blew up close games, and a young player putting up a huge game leading his team to victory. Let's dive in! Phil's Red Sox 6 Billy's Orioles 3Justin Verlander put up a shaky start but his offense picked him up leading Phil's Red Sox to victory. Giancarlo Stanton homered for Justin's Mariners in the top of the 2nd but Eddy's squad answered in the bottom of the 2nd with a Carson Kelly solo homer. The Royals bullpen came on and that's when the game got blown open. Matt Olson hit a 3 run shot in the top of the 8th and Gurriel hit his second homer of the game in the top of the 9th to give the Mariners the victory. Bharath's Angels 8 Daren's Astros 2This was the pitchers duel we expected between Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer but as I previously mentioned, bullpens blew up games today. The Angels got out to a 3-0 lead thanks to RBI hits from Eduardo Escobar, Joc Pederson, and Nelson Cruz. Daren's Angels got on the board in the 6th and 7th innings thanks to solo shots from J.T. Realmuto and Shin Shoo Choo to make it a 3-2 game. Blake Snell came on and gave up homers to Yasmani Grandal and Nelson Cruz and Nick Anderson gave up a 2 run shot to Kris Bryant to blow the game open and give the Angels the victory. Josh's White Sox 7 Tom's Blue Jays 5This game wasn't about the bullpen blowing a game open but blowing the lead. We are half way through the first set of matchups. Tommy got on the board with his first victory and we also had the two teams tied for first place doing battle. Today probably was the record so far on the amount of home runs hit in a single day. Let's take a look! Phil's Red Sox 7 Eddy's Royals 3Justin Verlander was shaky for Phil's Sox giving up 3 runs in the first 4 innings. Chapman hit his second homer on the day to add insurance and take home player of the game honors. Daren's Astros 10 Billy's Orioles 3One of the early stories to this season has been Daren's Astro squad struggling offensively. That ended today. Billy got the lead early with a 1st inning solo homer from Josh Bell. After that it was all Astros. J.T. Realmuto hit a pair of 2 run homers and Mike Trout hit is first home run of the simulated season. Billy got solo shots from Kyle Schwarber and Wilson Ramos but it wasn't enough to match Daren's big day. Justin's Mariners 5 Josh's White Sox 1Stephen Strasburg was shaky early but was able to get through the first couple innings with limited damage and then got the run support he needed to get the victory for Justin's Mariner squad. Lourdes Gurriel hit a tying home run in the 3rd inning and Giancarlo Stanton and Matt Olson each hit a two run homer to support Strasburg. Degaglia's Yankees 5 Prior's Tigers 4The game of the day belongs to the two teams that were tied for first place going into the day. All 9 runs came on home runs and it was the home town Yankees that came out on top. Paul Goldschmidt started the scoring with a 2 run homer in the first inning but the red hot Xander Bogaerts hit his own 2 run shot in the bottom of the 2nd to tie it. We had a couple of big innings that decided a couple of games and also a couple of stellar pitching performances as well as close games. Let's see what happened! Phil's Red Sox 5 Daren's Astros 0Justin Verlander had the pitching performance of the day and Daren's Astros offensive struggles continued as the Red Sox got the shutout victory 5-0. Trea Turner got Verlander the lead in the second inning with a 2 out 2 run double and the Red Sox added a couple of insurance runs late to seal the victory. Eddy's Royals 11 Josh's White Sox 4Eddy's offense flexed its muscles today hitting 4 homers. Mookie Betts led the game off with a solo shot. The Royals blew the game open in the 4th inning with 7 runs, capped off by an Anthony Rendon 3 run homer. Every bat in the Royals offense got a hit in the game to support Zach Eflin who had his second consecutive quality start and win. Chris's Twins 9 Billy's Orioles 7Chris's Twins lead the league in scoring going into the game and they tacked on a bunch more today. Jon's Indians 9 Justin's Mariners 8This matchup takes home game of the day honors. Walker Buehler had a 6-1 lead going into the 7th thanks to back to back homers in the bottom of the 5th from Justin Turner and Michael Brantley. In the top of the 7th Buehler got into trouble and Joe Jimenez didn't make it any better. Joey Votto and Mark Canha each hit 3 run home runs in the top of the 7th to give Justin's Mariners a 8-6 lead. That lead didn't last for long because in the bottom of the 7th Jeff McNeil got a RBI double and Josh Donaldson hit a 2 run homer to give the Indians the lead and the victory. Prior's Tigers 7 Bharath's Angels 3Bharath's Angels gave Jacob deGrom a 2-0 lead thanks to Joey Gallo and Kris Bryant each hitting solo homers. deGrom couldn't get out of the 4th inning and got hit hard. We had a couple of close games with late inning come backs and we also had a couple of complete game shutouts. Overall the pitching staffs and bullpens came to play today as it was our lowest scoring day of the season. Let's take a look! Josh's White Sox 3 Phil's Red Sox 2This was a pitching matchup that didn't disappoint. Zach Greinke and Justin Verlander each went 7 innings only giving up a solo home run each and left it in the hands of their pens. Edwin Encarnacion started the scoring with a solo shot and Hunter Dozier continued to swing a hot bat tying it with a solo shot in the bottom of the 5th. Eugenio Suarez hit a 2 run shot off of Andrew Heaney in the top of the 8th. Bryce Harper cut into the lead with a solo shot in the bottom of the 8th but the Red Sox couldn't get anything going off of Liam Hendricks who pitched a 1-2-3 9th inning for the save. Daren's Astros 4 Chris's Twins 3Daren's high powered offense has been off to a slow start to the season and it looked like it was going to continue today. In the first inning Chris's Twins tagged Max Scherzer for 3 runs thanks to a 2 run shot from Juan Soto and a solo homer from Miguel Andujar. Dinselson Lamet gave the Twins his best start on the season going 6 scoreless innings. Daren got on the board in the bottom of the 7th inning thanks to a Jonathan Villar 2 run single and ended up winning the game in the bottom of the 8th when Nolan Arenado hit a 2 run homer off of Alex Wood for the lead. Roberto Osuna shook of his blown save from earlier and closed out the victory. Eddy's Royals 4 Jon's Indians 0If you told me a pitcher in this matchup would pitch a complete game shutout I would have bet on Walker Buehler. I would have been wrong. Zach Eflin pitched a complete game shutout and outdueled Buehler. Eflin got a RBI single from Ketel Marte in the 3rd inning and that's all he needed. In the 6th inning the Royals gave Eflin some insurance runs with a Christian Yelich solo homer and RBI hits from Freddie Freeman and Adalberto Mondesi. Eflin was very efficient and rarely got into trouble for the victory. Prior's Tigers 5 Billy's Orioles 3 F/11This game was easily the game of the day. The Orioles started the scoring with Ronald Acuna leading off the bottom of the 1st inning with a solo homer. Mike Moustakas also homered to give Billy's Orioles a 2-0 lead. Cavan Biggio hit solo homers in the 3rd and 5th inning to tie the game and Francisco Lindor added a solo shot in the 5th to give the Tigers the lead. Kirby Yates came on for the save but gave up a solo homer to the first batter he faced Josh Bell to tie the game and send it to extra innings. In the top of the 11th Max Kepler hit a 2 run homer to give the Tigers the victory. Degaglia's Yankees 3 Justin's Mariners 1After a rough opening day start Carlos Carrasco has really settled down and now has pitched 3 straight quality starts and leading his team to 3 straight victories. Once again Degaglia's Yankees got the lead early by getting 3 runs in the first inning off of Stephen Strasburg thanks to a 2 run single from Manny Machado and a RBI single from J.D. Martinez. Strasburg was great from there but the damage was already done. Joey Votto got Justin's Mariners on the board with a RBI single but it wasn't enough. Carlos Martinez pitched a 1-2-3 9th inning to earn the save. Bharath's Angels 4 Tom's Blue Jays 0Jacob deGrom gave us the pitching performance of the season so far pitching a complete game shutout with 15 strikeouts. The back to back Cy Young winner got a 2 run double from Joey Gallo in the first inning and that's all deGrom needed. Yasmani Grandal added a 2 run homer for insurance. Tom's Blue Jay squad continues to pitch well but couldn't muster up much against deGrom. Standings

Jeff McNeil hit a 2 run shot in the bottom of the 6th to give the Indians the lead and. Amir Garrett came on and gave up a RBI triple to Alex Bregman followed by a RBI double from Eugenio Suarez to give the White Sox the lead and the victory. In the top of the 9th Billy's Orioles tacked on an insurance run. Justin Smoak homered in the bottom of the 9th but it wasn't enough. Masahiro Tanaka relieved an injured Jake Odorizzi and pitched 4.2 innings of 1 run ball to earn the win. Justin's Mariners 3 Bharath's Angels 2Jacob deGrom is human. He made one mistake and was outdueled by the Mariners Stephen Strasburg. Mark Canha hit a 3 run homer off of deGrom to lead his team to victory. The Angels had a big opportunity with the bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the 3rd inning but were only able to muster RBI walks from Yasmani Grandal and Kris Bryant. Corey Knebel, Tony Watson, and Will Smith pitched scoreless 7th, 8th, and 9th innings to lock down the victory for the Mariners. Standings

Jon's Indians 3 Phil's Red Sox 2 F/10As expected this was a pitchers duel between Walker Buehler and Justin Verlander. Both were shaky to start the game with Buehler giving up a solo shot to Phil's boy Bryce Harper and Verlander giving up a 2 run shot to Michael Brantley but both settled down from there. Prior's Tigers 8 Chris's Twins 5When Chris traded Conforto last season we all knew it hurt him to do it. Today Conforto faced his owner and took it out on the Twins with 2 homers and 5 RBI helping the Tigers over the Twins. The Tigers got 5 runs ins the 3rd inning to chase Dinelson Lamet from the game. Josh got solo shots from Khris Davis, Yoan Moncada, and Eddie Rosario but were unable to cash in when runners were on base. Roberto Osuna came on and walked another batter and then gave up a 2 run single to Willie Calhoun to tie the game.
